Update: Our next scheduled congregational singing practice will be Wednesday, April 12, at 5:00 PM.
Our experience with music has changed over the centuries. Lutheran services have made heavy and constant use of music to beautify the service and support the preaching of the gospel and the response of the congregation. This kind of service crosses the boundaries of cultures and unites churches of the Lutheran Confession in a way that also identifies them, while also showing the way Lutherans critically respect other Christian musical traditions. By request, we are planning to get together Saturday, February 4, to practice the skills that a Lutheran congregation uses in its services. All are welcome. If you have your own Hymnary you might want to bring it, along with a pencil. Come and reclaim God’s gift of music for the enjoyment, beauty, and ultimate comfort of His Church!
